The save button for
designers and creative devs.
Keep what you came for — the tech stack, the fonts, the exact UI section, the interaction in motion — all of it searchable.
5.0 on the Chrome Web StoreSave website inspiration with its tech stack.
One click on any site saves it to your workspace with a rich preview — and, if you want it, the breakdown attached: framework, animation libraries, fonts.
So the reference you come back to tells you how it was built, not just what it looked like.

Right-click to save any link, image or video.
No popup, no tab switching. Right-click the thing you want and send it to save.design — the page, a link on it, an image, or a video.
It goes straight into your workspace, next to everything else you've saved.
Video Demo
Record any interaction. Get a searchable piece, not just a recording.
Drag over the part of the page that moves — a hover, a transition, a scroll effect — and record just that area. Trim it before you save.
Every clip is analyzed and described when it lands, so you find it later by what happens in it, not by a file name.
Video Demo
Capture a section. Get an annotated UI piece you can search.
Select the hero, the pricing table, the footer — only the part you care about — and save it as its own piece.
Each capture comes back titled and described, so it shows up in search right alongside your saved sites.
Video Demo
Save all your open tabs in one click.
Twenty tabs of research open? Pick the ones worth keeping and save them together, into the folder they belong in.
Close the window without losing anything — and without saving them one by one.

Answers
Which browsers does it work in?+
Chrome, and the Chromium browsers that install from the Chrome Web Store — Arc, Brave, Edge and the like.
Do I need a save.design account?+
Yes. You sign in once in the extension, and every save goes into the workspace and folder you pick — the same workspace you use on the web.
What does the tech stack analysis pick up?+
The framework, animation libraries, fonts and more — the same breakdown the analyzer gives you. It's a checkbox, so you can save a link without it.
How do captured sections and recordings become searchable?+
Each one is analyzed when it lands and given a title and description of what's in it. So you find it later by describing it — "dark pricing table", "hover card that tilts" — not by a file name.
How long can a recording be?+
Up to 60 seconds of the area you select, without audio. You can trim it before you save.
Are there keyboard shortcuts?+
Alt+Shift+S starts a section capture and Alt+Shift+R starts a recording — press it again to stop. You can change both in your browser's extension shortcuts.
Is it free?+
The extension is free to install. Without a plan, a workspace gets a one-time allowance to try saving and analyzing, shared with the web app. Every paid plan removes the limits — Basic is $3 a month.
